Conservative pilot framing • supervised operations

A controlled, supervised humanoid pilot—designed for safety, compliance, and transparency.

Robomodal proposes a human-supervised deployment framework for humanoids in public life. Early operation is limited to private property and permitted events, with strong controls: geofencing, speed caps, visible emergency stop, remote shutdown, and incident logging.

Safety controls Pilot scope Transparency

Pilot scope

The pilot is designed to minimize risk while generating real operational learning. Our initial deployment is a supervised mobile retail interface (humanoid + rolling smart cooler module), operated at low speed within predefined boundaries.

Where

Private property first

Campuses, malls, venues, and controlled plazas with a hosting partner.

When

Daytime hours initially

Conservative operating windows to reduce exposure and simplify oversight.

Who

Human attendant present

Attendant within 10–15 feet with a defined intervention protocol.

Not autonomous roaming. Early deployment is human-supervised, geofenced, speed-limited, and optimized for predictable environments.

Safety controls

Robomodal is built around layered safety: operational controls, technical controls, and incident response.

Operational controls

  • Attendant oversight within defined proximity
  • Pre-shift inspection checklist
  • Defined intervention playbook
  • Incident logging and review process
  • Conservative operating zones and times

Technical controls

  • Speed cap (≤ 1 mph in public zones)
  • Geofenced navigation boundaries
  • Visible emergency stop button
  • Remote shutdown capability
  • Teleoperation fallback for edge cases

Insurance posture

  • General liability coverage appropriate to the pilot scope
  • Conservative operation reduces underwriting risk
  • Telemetry + SOPs support underwriting confidence

We align deployment scope to what insurers can underwrite today, then expand only after validated performance.

ADA + accessibility

  • Accessible user interface height and/or companion interface
  • Clear path-of-travel awareness in pilot zones
  • Human attendant to assist as needed

Transparency and public trust

Public robotics requires visibility and accountability. Robomodal commits to clear policies, community feedback channels, and incident transparency.

Signage

Clear operator labeling

On-unit signage for supervision, emergency stop, and contact information.

Feedback

Public feedback channel

Fast escalation route for concerns, complaints, and accessibility requests.

Reporting

Incident protocol

Documented incident logging and post-incident remediation process.
